Egyptian Ambassador in Ramallah Wael Atteya on Monday laid wreaths at the Egyptian Army Memorial in western Ramallah on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the October War Victory.
Atteya expressed his pleasure for being present at the Memorial site, pointing out that such memorial proves that the Egyptians and Palestinians have common sacrifices for the Palestinian lands.
Governor of Ramallah and Al Bireh Laila Ghannam, who accompanied Atteya in the visit, told MENA that she sends greetings to the Egyptian people on the October War Victory.
She hailed as "great" the Egyptian army for defending the rights of Egypt, Palestine and the entire Arab world on the same date in the year 1973.
