
A number of Egyptian Air Force jets accompanied the presidential plane, until it reached the Egyptian airspace, according to a press release issued by the Presidency Friday.
On board the presidential plane, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived here Friday from New York, where he attended the 69th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
Sisi also delivered a speech before the UN Climate Summit on behalf of the Arab group.
During the visit, Sisi held 40 meetings with a host of world leaders, US politicians, intellectuals and media men.
The Egyptian president also met with US President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande.
He also met with presidents of Iraq, South Africa, South Korea, Mauritania, Uganda and Chili along with the Jordanian king and Kuwaiti prime minister.
