The 8th meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries aims at offering support for the country's newly-formed national unity government as well as the presidential council, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Tuesday.
"We will work with all Libyan sides to fulfill that," the minister asserted in exclusive statements to MENA.
Working on boosting the capabilities and the efficiency of the new government with regard to fighting terrorism was agreed upon during the meeting, he added.
Answering a question about relations with the parliament in east Libya, Shoukry said that Egypt has been working with all legitimate sides to push forward reconciliation in accordance with Skhirat agreement.
The top Egyptian diplomat, meanwhile, said that the meeting didn't address the joint security committees.
