Egypt to close Rafah crossing for Labor Day

Egypt will close its border with the Gaza Strip on Tuesday for Labor Day, officials said. The Rafah crossing closes on all Egyptian public holidays under an agreement between the governments in Gaza and Cairo. Due to Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip, the terminal is the only open border for residents of the enclave, although travel through the crossing is restricted. the
