Egypt's Ambassador in Khartoum Osama Shaltout asserted keenness of the political leadership in Egypt and Sudan to overcome impediments that hinder trade exchange and joint investment.
Addressing a forum for metal industries in the Sudanese capital, Shaltout said the presidents of Egypt and Sudan share an identical view to promote bilateral ties and to achieve economic integration.
He said the current volume of trade exchange, $850 million, does not equalize the level of the strategic and national relations.
Egypt's made investments in Sudan are just $1 billion while the eyed volume is $10 billion, he noted.
He hailed Cairo's relations with South Sudan.
