
Egypt's permanent delegate to the Arab League Tareq Adel submitted a draft statement to the AL Council, convening at the delegates' level, to condemn the terror attack Egypt had witnessed on October 24.
The draft statement strongly decries the terrorist attack at North Sinai, which left a large number of army men killed and injured, offers condolences to the victims' families and wishes of speedy recovery to the injured.
It also restated previous AL resolutions on fighting terrorism, including Resolution 7804 on restoring Arab national security and fighting extremist terrorist groups.
All Arab countries will commit to cutting all funding sources of terror organizations and offer to forms of support to Egypt in its war against terrorism, the statement, which the AL Council is expected to adopt, said.
Member states will cooperate to eradicate terrorism, especially in exchanging information and expertise, it added.
