Egypt hosts OAPEC Ministerial Conference

Egypt will host the Ministerial Conference of the Kuwait-based Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) on Thursday, 22nd of December 2016.
''The OAPEC Ministerial Conference aims to exchange industry perspectives, as well as review updated status of markets and the effect on the oil and gas industry. The programme includes the authorisation of the budget of the General Secretariat and the Judiciary Authority of the OAPEC, along with following up on the activities of the general secretaries of the OAPEC, including activities related to environmental and climate changes,'' Tarek El Molla, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, said in a press release today.
The conference will also follow up on the studies conducted by the general secretaries and the work status of an information bank, he added.
El Molla explained that the OAPEC Conference would be a good chance for exchanging visions and discussing oil and gas issues within the region.
