
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed on Monday the formation of Palestinian unity government.
OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani said in a statement that such step represent a major step to Palestinian people will and has the full support of OIC.
Madani stressed importance on continuing with eradicating Palestinian division and strengthening unity to protect Palestinian rights and higher interests.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry welcomed also the formation of Palestinian unity government, affirming on the country's continuous support to the Palestinian leadership and keenness to follow up on decisions made during Cairo agreement of 2011.
The formation of a Palestinian national unity government represent a vital step to unite Palestinians to gain all legitimate rights, mostly the right to establish an Independent state based on 1967 borders and East Jerusalem being its capital, Foreign ministry spokesman Bader Abdulati
