The Foreign Ministry's Consular sector is following up investigations concerning the tragic death of Egyptian mountaineer Heba el-Hussainy who was killed on Wednesday in Rabat while climbing the 400-meter Mount Toubkal.
Egyptian authorities are coordinating with their Moroccan counterpart to finalize required procedures to send the body back home, Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Aliel-Ashri said on Thursday.
After reaching the summit of the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and in North Africa, Heba el-Hussainy has slipped in a 400-meter hole in a very rugged area.
