The Foreign Ministry has expressed concern over the developments in al-Haram al-sharif in al-Quds (East Jerusalem) in the aftermath of Israeli settlers' practices against Palestinian worshipers at al-Aqsa mosque.
A statement issued by the foreign Ministry Thursday said that Egypt also rejected remarks attributed to the Israeli defense minister in which he ruled out the creation of a Palestinian state in al-Quds but the Israeli side would allow a demilitarized self-rule in the West Bank.
It described the Israeli statements as brazen violation of the reference of the Middle East peace process.
