Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will visit Sudan after the Greater Bairam.
This will be Shoukry's first visit to the Nile country since he assumed his post, said Sudan's Ambassador to Egypt Abdel-Mahmoud Abdel-Halim in statements to "Al Youm Al-Tali" newspaper, out here Monday.
Shourky's visit will come ahead of a visit by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to Cairo, Abdel-Halim added.
He said that Shoukry and Ali Karti, his Sudanese counterpart, agreed that the diplomatic visit take place immediately after the Bairam.
The top diplomats will discuss bilateral cooperation files ahead of meetings of the joint committee to be chaired by Sudan's First Vice President Bakri Saleh and Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab.
