Egypt, Ethiopia FMs hold official talks

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri held a session of talks on Sunday with his Ethiopian counterpart Dr. Tedros Adhanom within the framework of preparations for convening the fifth session of the joint committee at the ministerial level in Addis Ababa Monday.
Shoukri told journalists accompanying him during his visit to Ethiopia that the meeting took up issues of mutual concern including bilateral relations and the Nile water file.
He described the meeting with his Ethiopian counterpart as a good chance for boosting the two countries' relations.
The foreign minister said the meetings between the two sides are held under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn to back joint action to achieve the interests of the two nations.
The Egyptian and Ethiopian sides tackled earlier the possibility of establishing a huge industrial zone in Addis Ababa by the private sector with the support of the government, Egyptian Industry and Trade Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour, who accompanies Shoukri during the visit, said.
A large number of Egyptian ministers are participating the joint ministerial committee to encourage the Egyptian private sector to invest in the promising Ethiopian market, Abdel-Nour told the accompanying Egyptian media delegation.
