The Egyptian embassy in Palestine marked on Monday the 41st anniversary of the 6th of October war victory.
"On 6th October 1973 we did not only liberate our land but we restored our dignity as well," said Egypt's Ambassador to Palestine Wael Attia.
He greeted Egyptians on the historic occasion, praising the great sacrifices of the Egyptian army.
On October 6, 1973, the Egyptian Armed Forces mounted a surprise attack against the Israeli army stationed in Sinai and the Golan Heights. As a result, Egypt regained full sovereignty over the Suez Canal and was able to recover part of Sinai.
