Egypt elected chair of Arab transport ministers' executive bureau

The Council of Arab Transport Ministers has handpicked Egypt to head its executive bureau for the 28th session.
The move was adopted during the 27th session of the council held here on Wednesday under chairmanship of Qatari Minister of Transportation Jassem Al-Sulaiti.
During their gathering here today, the Arab ministers of transport discussed a plethora of issues and subjects bearing on possible uniform transport legislations and laws in Arab countries and lack of marine transport training institutes.
They also discussed the final draft of a marine, passenger and cargo transportation agreement and a study on how to capitalize on marine transport to develop trade exchange between Arab countries and South America as a prelude to sending it to an Arab economic and social development summit due in Tunis in 2015.
The agenda, furthermore, includes a field study on Arab sea ports and a specialized ship crew management company.
