Egypt, Algeria face challenges resulting from dangerous situation in region

Egypt and Algeria "are facing challenges resulting from the dangerous situation in the Arab world," said Thursday in Algiers Egypt's Minister for Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry.
"Egypt and Algeria are facing challenges resulting from the dangerous situation in the Middle East, particularly in Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya," Shoukry told the press at the end of the audience granted to him by President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
The Egyptian Foreign minister said that the two countries have "common" interest regarding African issues, including the problems and the development goals in Africa, adding that "all these issues have been discussed with President Bouteflika."
"I had the honour to listen to the enlightened views of the President of the Republic on these issues," he said, adding that "he highly appreciated the guidance of President Bouteflika as regards the strengthening of Algerian-Egyptian relations in all areas."
Shoukry said that he conveyed the greetings of Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi to President Bouteflika, underlined that the interest attached to the cooperation between Egypt and Algeria "remains strong in order to enhance the bilateral relations up to the highest level."
