The plan addresses the development for Hatta in various areas including the social, economic, health, and sports sectors, and also aims to boost its attractiveness as a tourism destination, particularly in eco-tourism.

Al Marri made the remarks at a meeting held at the Office, which is in charge of media relations for the Plan.

The meeting was attended by Director-General of TV and Radio Stations at Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) Ahmed Saeed Al Mansouri; Executive Chief Editor of Al Khaleej newspaper Raed Al Barqawi; Chief Editor  of Emarat Al Youm Sami Al Riyami; Executive Chief Editor of Al Bayan newspaper Riyad Al Mickdady; Director of News Center, DMI Ali Obaid Al Hamli; General Manager of Arabian Radio Network Mahmoud Al Rashid; Editor-in-Chief of Emirates 24/7 Khadija Al Marzouqi; Director of Dubai FM Radio Amal Al Halyan; and Al Oula Radio’s Khalifa Al Falasi.

Al Marri praised the role being played by national media outlets in supporting the UAE’s major initiatives and projects. She said the media has always done a commendable job in providing comprehensive coverage of various development efforts across sectors.

Attendees at the meeting expressed their willingness to contribute to the progress of the ambitious development plan, which they said was a model for urban development.

The meeting also discussed social media best practices for efficiently delivering information to the public, mainly youth, as it is a key target segment of the Development Plan.
