Telecom operator, du, on Wednesday announced that it has signed a strategic agreement with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs - Dubai, DNRD, during its showcase at GITEX 2017.

The multi-year agreement will make du an official provider of enterprise-managed services to the DNRD. The agreement was signed by Osman Sultan, Chief Executive Officer of du, and Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the DNRD.

"This new partnership is a further demonstration of our commitment to the UAE government. By working together, we will add value to the people of the UAE through an enhanced service offering. Our managed services proposition will enable the DNRD to further streamline its operations so that it can focus on ensuring an improved experience for UAE residents and citizens," Sultan said.

"Our strategic partnership with du is of great importance to us. As we enter into life in the smart city, we have to be prepared to offer services and solutions that are in line with the expectations of today's tech-savvy community," Al Marri said.
