Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah has voiced hope that donors, who partook in a Cairo-hosted conference on Gaza reconstruction, would fulfill their promises to reconstruct the besieged enclave.
During a meeting held here Wednesday with Singapore Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, Hamadallah commended support provided by Singapore in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian government seeks to enhance cooperation with Singapore in the various fields, mainly in education, heath and water, he said.
"The Palestinian leadership is determined to go to the UN Security Council to pass a resolution recognizing the Palestinian state, and set a deadline for the withdrawal of Israel from the occupied Palestinian territories," he said.
