Delivering quality public services stressed

HH Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, today during chairing a governorate’s coordination meeting, called for strengthening cooperation and joint action to translate the governorate’s projects into reality to ensure the citizens’ decent living and providing them quality public services.

The governor pointed out the governorate’s move to pay field visits and directly communicate with citizens of the governorate to learn about their needs and aspirations.

The meeting discussed a number of services needed to be delivered, including the development of 96th Street, as it is a diversion road, to facilitate the access to Khalifa City, amid the ongoing road works at Alba roundabout; increasing the number of side street lighting in East Riffa blocks 905 and 907, as well as addressing issues of illegal labour, street vendors and installing security cameras in the same blocks; and providing a health center to serve Askar and Jaw’s residents for the increase in population density and the number of existing projects.

The governor directed to consider and deliver the services mentioned above in the interest of the governorate’s citizens.
