Minister of Mujahideen (liberation war veterans) Tayeb Zitouni said Sunday that the coming international conference on the crimes of the French colonial army in Algeria will be "the best answer to those who seek to conceal them."
"The next international conference on French colonial army's massacres in Algeria will be the best answer to the lies of those who seek to conceal the crimes perpetrated during the French occupation of Algeria (1830-1962)," said the minister, who was the guest of El Djoumhouria Daily forum.
He also stressed the "duty to pass down to the rising generation, in a fair and faithful manner, all the aspects of the armed Revolution and to perpetuate the message of November 1954."
Tayeb Zitouni raised the situation prevailing in the region and neighbouring countries, adding that some do not like Algeria's "support to fair causes, its principle of non-interference (in internal affairs of third countries) and its stability."
