Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah stressed the importance of civil society organisations to community services efforts.
During an encounter with the Kuwait Blind Association President Fayez Al-Azmi and its Secretary Mansour Al-Enezi on Monday, he said that the role of these organisations is illustrated in their contributions that are in line with the modernization the country is undergoing.
The ministry cooperates with the body on an ongoing basis through the distribution of its publications in braille.
The association representatives had handed the minister with copies of four local cultural and scientific magazines it had published in braille - amid a move they said was aimed at spreading Kuwaiti culture amongst the blind, inside the country and abroad.
