
Assistant Interior Minister and Director of Cairo Security Directorate General Ali Al-Demerdash on Wednesday made a surprise tour to check on security bodies and traffic at several districts in Cairo.
General Demerdash inspected the security services at Nozha, Nasr City, Heliopolis and Hadayek Al-Kobba to highlight the importance of implementing a security plan devised to secure greater Cairo against any attempts by terrorist elements or saboteurs to disrupt public order.
Police officers and conscripts also asserted that they are deeply resolved to exert their utmost efforts to maintain the security and stability of their homeland.
Cairo's surprise tour of the security official comes in implementation of directives made by Interior Minister General Mohammad Ibrahim to reinforce security presence on vital installations.
