
Presidential candidate, Abdelaziz Belaid promised Wednesday in Boumerdes to fight against corruption by brining to court all those involved in the embezzlement of public funds."Algerians have the right to bring all officials involved in corruption cases to court, including those relating to public funds," Belaid said during a public meeting held on the fourth day of the election campaign.Belaid ensured, under the cheers of his supporters, that the fight against corruption will be followed by the presentation of a "global assessment" of funds used for the management of the national economy, stressing that this operation will be conducted by experts."How could we proceed to the cancellation of some African countries' debts and lend billions of dollars to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)," said Belaid who dubbed Algeria "large stock company and all Algerians have got shares and are entitled to benefit from it."
