The First Vice - President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has called for work to keep security and to patch up the rift between the tribal components in West Kordofan State.
This came when he received in his office at the Republican Palace Monday the Wali (governor) of West Kordofan State, Ahmed Khamis, who acquainted the First Vice - President on the security and political situation in the state.
In a press statement after the meeting, the Wali said that he informed the First Vice - President on the general situation in the state, especially the security conditions and tribal reconciliations and the endeavors to hold a reconciliatory conference between Hamar and Maaliya tribes.
