Bahrainis based in Saudi Arabia have today turned out in big numbers to cast their votes in the parliamentary and elections 2014. "Bahrainis have exercised their constitutional right and cast their ballots freely and smoothly", Bahrain Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa said.
In a statement today, he described elections as a right guaranteed in the constitution and the cornerstone of the whole democratic process, stressing voters’ keenness to elect the most eligible candidates to represent them in upcoming parliament.
The ambassador chaired the elections committee at the embassy headquarters. The electoral panel also included Advisor Tariq Mohammed Nusf as vice chairman, in addition to Mohammed Yusuf Salmeen as Secretary-General.
