
A Shura Council delegation will participate in the Joint Seminar, organised by NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA) in collaboration with the Italian delegation to the NATO PA, to be held in Catania, Italy on October 2-4.
The delegation is headed by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and comprising the Head of Youth Affairs Committee MP Khalil Ibrahim Al-Thawadi and Head of Public Relation at Shura Council Ahmed Saleh.
Dr. Shaikh Khalid affirmed the importance of Bahrain's participation in this remarkable parliamentary gathering, which includes parliaments from Europe, North America, North Africa and the Middle East, adding that the forum will contribute to the exchange of views and will try to find solutions to a number of issues and developments in the region.
He underlined the importance of unifying the efforts of parliamentary and governmental organisations in order to combat terrorism and eliminate it, and eradicating it from the Arab societies in particular, as they face the threat of growing terrorist groups that targets the community's security and the region's stability.
The forum will address a range of developments in the region, through the presentation and discussion of studies carried out by researchers and officials from different countries, on several issues.
