
Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan has visited the King Fahad Causeway Police Directorate. He was received by Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Naji Al Hashel, Assistance Chief of Public Security of Training Affairs, General Directors of Exists and senior officers.
The visit was part of the directives of Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to learn about the requirements of all the Interior Ministry’s departments to provide the best services for the public.
Public Security Chief asserted the importance of the king Fahad Causeway that highlights the deep relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He said that the causeway promotes economy and tourism, hence there are ongoing efforts to enhance its services. He added that the Ministry cares to enhance security departments that work at the causeway and provide them with skilled manpower and technical assistance to facilitate the movement of travelers and eliminate hinders against the causeway’s users. He hailed the roles of security departments at King Fahad Causeway in protecting Bahrain from human and narcotics trafficking.
The Chief highlighted that the visit aimed to learn about the requirements of the security departments on Bahrain’s side of the causeway, while development and emergency plans to protect the causeway were discussed. The perspectives and recommendations in this regard will be referred to Interior Minister for the required decisions.
The Chief concluded by thanking all personnel at the King Fahad Causeway Police Directorate, Passport Department and Customs Affairs. He hailed their major efforts and urged them to work harder to achieve competency, in order to meet the rapid increase in travel movement of travelers and goods. He wished the best to all of them.
