Bahraini public prosecution statement

The General Attorney at the Northern Governorate's Prosecution Hussain Al-Bu Ali stated that the Public Prosecution has completed investigation into a complaint lodged by the Ministries of Defence and Interior.
The complaint was made versus a person who had posted on his personal social media account insults against the two ministries in which he made defamatory allegations against both ministries. He also falsely purported that "Bahrainis who had joined certain organizations abroad belong to both security institutions". He described the two ministries as "ideological nurturers of terrorist organizations".
The Public Prosecution ordered his referral in remand before the Third Lower Criminal Court on charges of tort and libel in public against official institutions. The case will be considered by the said court during its session on 19 instant.
