
Speaker of the Council of Representatives Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani affirmed the importance of the National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR)'a first annual Report, which included achievements and recommendations aimed at consolidating and protecting human rights.
Al-Dhahrani stressed the importance of the first annual NIHR Report, stressing particularly its objectivity, impartiality and independence in outlining achievements and recommendations which are aimed at protecting and anchoring human rights in Bahrain.
This came as Al-Dhahrani received NIHR's Board of Commissioners President Dr. Abdulaziz Abul.
"The first NIHR Annual Report reflects Bahrain’s firm determination to pursue the reform process and honour all human rights commitments and obligations in compliance with the constitution and international norms and covenants", Al-Dhahrani said.
Abul expressed his delight for presenting a copy of NIHR's first annual report to Al- Dhahrani, commending his valuable directives in this field.
