
Colonel Adel Amin, Assistant undersecretary for Human Resources said that human resources in MOI exerts too much efforts to develop its administrative cadres in all directorates not only to increase the effectiveness of performance in production and improve work but also to reach excellence and creativity at work through implementing the proper steps, methods and criteria to achieve targets.
Human resources introduced the institutional excellence project which includes the proper curriculum for development, in cooperation with the European Foundation for Quality Management EFQM, to draw and launch the basis of the project which are represented in preparing a group of employees (cadres) from all various directorates to join a course prepared by human resources in which a British lecturer discussed the concepts of excellence and preparing the cadres as a team work for the institutional excellence project.
Definition of the content of the project has been also introduced and discussed in many meetings with officials from all various directorates and departments to generalize the idea. This was also discussed with a selected category of the various directorates and a questionnaire was distributed to all employees in various departments to see their opinions through their answers on requirements.
Colonel Amin confirmed that MOI is considered the first ministry to implement the project on all ministries level with this foundation and second governmental body to implement it after Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).
Colonel Amin added recently to Al Amn Magazine published by Police Media Directorate at the General Directorate of MOI court that introducing the Institutional Excellence Project is one of the strategic outputs launched by HE Ministry of Interior to develop administrative work which is implemented throughout improving working cadres and qualifying them with higher skills in order to improve level of work.
The project also aims to develop and improve all administrative systems and all procedures for the aim of improving performance and preparing a good environment of work for employees, a project that requires hard work in order to reach its required targets.
He added also that the lectures introduced for the selected cadres were aiming to clarify that distinguished directorate is the one that continuously tries to implement its responsibilities and duties, trying always to reach for more results or at least trying to keep what has been achieved in a good level.
Colonel Adel Amin indicated that there are many concepts for excellence that should be work on to provide a culture of excellence or a common ground for supreme directorates to work upon.
He added that there are 8 criteria that should be launched to understand its meaning and positive results, in addition to the outputs of the excellence project and all its benefits for employees and beneficiaries, a matter which will have a good positive results on society and will reinforce communications between directorates, establishing a leadership based on ambition and integrity and creating flexible and vital systems for management to respond rapidly to fast-paced changes, in addition to achieving success with skills of employees.
