
Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa hailed landmark development achievements attained in Shenzhen, China.
He reiterated Bahrain’s keen interests in expanding joint cooperation and benefiting from the Chinese city’s strides, highlighting the Kingdom’s potential as a key gate to the Arabian Gulf region.
Shenzhen City Mayor Xu Qin hosted a special meeting in honour of Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa, who is heading Bahrain’s delegation to China High Tech Fair 2016 .
The event was attended by Economic Development Board (EDB) Chief Executive Committee Khalid Al-Romaihi, Bahrain Ambassador to China Dr. Anwar Abdulla, Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Undersecretary Hassan Ali Al-Majid, Osool Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) board member Jawad Al-Hawaj and other officials representing the public and private sector.
The Bahraini delegation, led by Shaikh Hisham Bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa - Governor of Capital Governorate, was invited to participate in the fair by Xu Qin, Mayor of Shenzhen following his visit to Bahrain in September. The fair is an annual event organised by several Chinese ministries and government agencies. The event highlights the latest trends in China’s high-end technology and plays an important role in the implementation of the national development strategies for China.
