
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister held his weekly Majlis at Riffa Palace today.
His Royal Highness welcomed a broad range of the Bahraini society, including members of the royal family, senior government officials, members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, members of municipal councils, prominent religious figures, academics, community leaders, journalists and diplomats accredited to the Kingdom.
During the Majlis, His Royal Highness also met His Excellency Mr Jaime Garcia-Legaz, Spain’s Secretary of State for Trade. His Royal Highness praised the bilateral relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Spain which touches many sectors.
Commending Mr Garcia-Legaz on his efforts to strengthen economic ties between the two countries, His Royal Highness highlighted the important role that bilateral trade visits play in bolstering foreign direct investments. His Excellency Dr. Hassan bin Abdulla Fakhroo, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain, accompanied Mr Garcia-Legaz to the Majlis.
The attendees of the Majlis expressed their appreciation for His Royal Highness' keen engagement with citizens by maintaining the commitment to Bahrain's values, traditions and national identity.
The attendees also commended the efforts of His Royal Highness to reinforce the sustainable development of the Kingdom, under the development programme initiated by His Majesty King Hamad, as well as the government’s efforts that deliver significant improvement to public services.
