
A policeman will appear before the High Criminal Court on August 21, 2014 for trial on charges of killing Fadhel Abbas and injuring another in Al-Marakh.
The suspect is accused of transgressing set up regulations in arrest operations. Having an arrest warrant issued to track down four suspects for possessing firearms to carry out a terror act, the suspect opened fire on the car in which the deceased was seen travelling alongside another one in Al-Marakh on January 8, 2014 after trying to speed away.
The Special Investigation Unit demanded to punish the suspect, who also shot another wanted person when carrying out the arrest warrant, according to articles 75/4, 107, 333/1 and 339/1 of the Penal Code.
