Manama - WAM

Bahrain Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Services and Infrastructure Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has praised the role of the U.A.E. leadership and people and their stances towards Bahrain, lauding its pioneering contributions to the kingdom's development march, especially regarding infrastructure and vital services sectors.
Speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace in Manama yesterday the outgoing U.A.E. Ambassador to Bahrain Mohammed Sultan Al-Suwaidi, Sheikh Khalid said that the fraternal relations bonding the two countries and their peoples have become role models of bilateral relations.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) quoted Sheikh Khalid as saying that Bahraini-U.A.E. relations have flourished within the GCC framework, which proves the sound visions of the founding fathers – the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Late Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, stressing that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Nahrain and the U.A.E. President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan have, thanks to their wisdom and statesmanship, strengthened those ties, in line with their peoples' desire to enhance common achievements.
The Deputy Premier of Bahrain lauded the U.A.E.'s unlimited support to the Kingdom within the GCC Development Fund aiming to upgrade the infrastructure in a way that reflects positively on the Bahraini citizens' daily life.
Sheikh Khalid commended the tremendous efforts exerted by Ambassador Al-Suwaidi to bolster joint cooperation, wishing him every success in his future diplomatic assignments.
The U.A.E. envoy expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the kingdom for the constant support accorded to him during his tenure, wishing Bahrain and its leadership and people further security, stability and progress in all fields.
