Participants in the 14th edition of the Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain's Prize for Poetic Creativity recently held in Marrakesh in Morocco sent on Thursday a cable of thanks to Moroccan King Mohammed VI for hosting and sponsoring the event.
The event was held in Marrakesh on Tuesday to mark the 25th anniversary of the foundation under the patronage of the Moroccan monarch, in collaboration with the Fez-Saiss Association for Cultural, Social and Economic Development.
The foundation said in its cable that on behalf of all poets, thinkers, academics and media figures participating in the event, it would like to voice thanks and gratitude to the Moroccan king for hosting the 14th session of the foundation.
It elaborated that participants in the event had discussed two key issues: Arab poetic tradition and positive influence of inter-culture dialogue.
Various lectures and seminars on modern poetry techniques were held on the sidelines of the event.
Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain's Prize for Poetic Creativity was launched in 1989 as a private, cultural and non-profit organization.
