Egypt's Armed Forces foiled an attempt by 310 people of different nationalities to cross to neighboring Libya through the western gate of Salloum City, said Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohamed Samir.

In a statement, the spokesman said the Border guards managed to seize a bus with about 220 kilograms of bango on board.

Also, about 15.5 kilograms of bango was seized inside a vehicle in el Qantara Sharq, he added.

The move came as part of continued efforts exerted by the border guards to arrest criminal elements and smugglers.
