Armed forces liberates Meri Bara area in south Kordofan

The spokesman of the Armed Forces, Col. Al-Sawarmi Khalid Saad, announced that the Armed Forces Thursday evening liberated Meri Bara, western Kadugli in South Kordofan State, after a fighting with the outlaws which lasted for a number of hours. He said in a statement to SUNA that the Armed Forces has inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipments on the outlaws. It is to be recalled that Meri Bara is an area which is rich with water resources, pastures, fertile lands and gold mines.
