The Armed Forces in North Sinai have arrested 11 suspects involved in carrying out terrorist attacks against the police and army.
During the security campaign, the Armed Forces destroyed a booby-trapped pickup truck in front of Al-Wefaq water tank and 11 motorbikes, said military spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Samir.
Samir asserted that the campaign comes as part of efforts exerted by the Armed Forces to maintain Egypt's national security on all strategic fronts.
It also comes as a continuation of the security crackdown against terror and Takfiri hideouts in North Sinai.
The Armed Forces have announced earlier that a dangerous terrorist element, who is identified as Faysal Al-Mahsana, was killed in an exchange of fire with army troops. The operation resulted in the arrest of three others in Al-Abtal village in Eastern Qonaytera district.
