Armed Forces basis upon which states rely to face dangers

Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Mahmoud Hegazy underscored on Monday the Armed Forces are the basis upon which countries rely to face all hazards and challenges destabilizing them.

Hegazy said it is essential to promote partnership and cooperation among nations to boost stability efforts and overcome challenges in the Middle East region, including terrorism, which, he said, does not only threaten the region, but also humanity at large.

Escalating challenges have become bigger than the potentials of one country, he said during a meeting with a number of officers who came to Egypt from different countries to study at educational and training facilities of the Armed Forces.

Cooperation among all countries has become a pressing demand "to exist and not a luxury of option," he said.

Hegazy underscored the depth of military relations between Egyptian Armed Forces and their counterparts in other states.

The Egyptian Armed Forces are keen on rallying up efforts with all countries to uproot terrorism and extremism, he noted.
