Arab League's permanent delegates, including Kuwait's envoy, held a meeting on Monday tackling the issue of reforming the Arab organization.
The envoys are holding the fifth meeting of the open-membership sub-committee, at the level of permanent delegates at the League's headquarters. This body is tasked with reforming institutions of the Arab organization.
It is chaired by the State of Kuwait's Permanent Delegate, Ambassador Aziz Al-Dihani, and involves the League's Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Ahmad Bin Hilli.
Participants in the meeting are discussing results of affiliate work groups, tackling revision of the League's charter and the whole structure. They are also revising reports prepared by other teams, tasked with upgrading the apparatuses and joint Arab socio-economic action.
A final report is due to be submitted to the upcoming ministerial meeting on September 7. (end) mab.mfm.rk
