Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas
Cairo - MENA

The Arab League (AL) hailed on Saturday the announcement of the two main Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas about reaching an agreement about all the pending issues during the Egyptian brokered negotiation.
AL Assistant Secretary-General for Palestinian Affairs Mohammed Sobeih applauded the Egyptian effort in pushing the negotiations forward.
Sobeih considered the inter-Palestinian national reconciliation a cornerstone for solving the Palestinian issue and ending the Israeli occupation.
Fatah and Hamas have reached a 'comprehensive' agreement that would turn over the civil administration of Gaza immediately to officials of a Palestinian unity government led by President Mahmoud Abbas.
