The Arab League has called for harnessing efforts and energies to throw much weight behind youth issues in the region and to deepen their role in sustainable development. In a keynote speech during an Arab forum on economic integration horizons, Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby emphasized that young people should be allowed to play some part in response to challenges, primarily joblessness, marginalization and leisure in light of unprecedented mobility in the Arab region for the time being. He called for paying more attention to the issues of youth and linking them to political and economic development in a practical and carefully considered manner. He said the forum will discuss all issues that concern Arab young people, and will hold training courses for young male and female leaders. The forum, sponsored by the Arab League, focuses on Arab investment, Arab financial funds, youth innovation and joblessness response mechanisms.
