Arab league secretary general : Counter Mines' Perils

The Arab League Secretary General , Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi has underlined the need for pooling arab efforts to find practical solutions to counter mines''dangers and enhance public awareness of such perils. This came during his meeting here Sunday with members of the Arab Society to Serve Mine Affected Areas , a non-governmental society, aiming at getting arab states''apparatus and organs involved in clearing the mine affected areas and acting to developing them at the touristic, agricultural and industrial levels. ''The danger of mines in the arab countries constitutes a complicated topic as far as development efforts in the arab world are concerned'', said Al Arabi.
