
Preparations and arrangements are in full swing for a ceremony purposed to honor His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who was named by the UN as a "Humanitarian Leader" while Kuwait was chosen a "Humanitarian Center" in New York on September 9, a Kuwaiti official said here on Saturday.
This ceremony is of paramount significance thanks to relevant great national meanings and His Highness the Amir's highly estimated position on both regional and international arenas, Assistant Undersecretary of the Information Ministry for Media Planning and Knowledge Development Mohammad Al-Awash told KUNA.
"The (Kuwaiti) Information Ministry is keen on the fact that the media covering of the Arab League's ceremony should be up to the level of the event," he said.
Many Egyptian newspapers and TV and radio channels will cover the event, Al-Awash added, noting that a media exhibition showing His Highness the Amir's humanitarian efforts would be organized on the sidelines of the ceremony.
The official highly acclaimed the great role by His Highness the Amir in the field of humanitarian activities, pointing out that all Kuwaiti are proud of His Highness the Amir's UN honoring.
