
The Arab League has congratulated the Tunisian people, their political leaders and civil society on the success of the parliamentary election, saying that this step will entrench the country's democratic experiment.
The league also voiced hope that the Tunisian government will be formed soon to achieve the aspirations of the Tunisian people towards progress and development.
In statements to reporters on Wednesday, Arab League Deputy Secretary General Ahmad Bin Heli said the Arab League has been honored with overseeing the parliamentary election along with other regional and international organizations.
He pointed out that all observers agreed that polls were held in fair and neutral conditions amid honest competition among candidates.
He also voiced hope that all political powers and parties that took part in the election could share national spirits and assume their responsibilities towards their country.
