Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby voiced Tuesday full solidarity with the Lebanese army in its quest to crack down on "terrorist groups" in the town of Arsal in the Bekaa.
Al-Araby, in a statement late last night, extended condolences for families of the Lebanese soldiers who were killed in the confrontations with the outlawed groups.
He said he was fully confident in the national unity of the Lebanese people and their abilities to confront any terrorist attacks targetting the sovereignty of their country.
The Lebanese army announced yesterday that it has retaken control over Arsal which was seized by terrorist groups coming from neighboring Syria.
In a press statement, the army vowed that it would continue executing military operations in Arsal and the surrounding areas to uproot all terrorist spots.
