Annual conference of Bar Association in Syria

The annual conference of Syria’s Bar Association kicked off on Monday as participants discussed the role of lawyers in deepening the culture of law and spreading social awareness as well as means to improve the situation of this profession in Syria.
The conference, launched under the theme of “Lawyers will Remain Faithful to Syria and President Bashar al-Assad and Genuine Contributors to the Reconstruction Process”, focused on the role of lawyers in the current stage in Syria.
Minister of Justice, Dr. Najm Hamad al-Ahmad, stressed in a speech the importance of the relationship between lawyers and jurisdiction and the necessity of working hand in hand to protect the lawsuits of citizens within the framework of constructive cooperation.
For his part, Chief of the Bar Association, Nizar al-Skaif, said holing this conference at this stage is a victory in itself as it expresses the determination of the Syrian people.
