Ammar Al Nuaimi heads Executive Council meeting

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of Ajman Executive Council, headed a session in the Emiri Diwan yesterday to review several development plans and ways to strengthen the government services, initiatives and policies.

The plans and policies are in line with the ’Ajman Vision 2021’, which has been adopted by the Ajman Government for the welfare of its citizens and residents.

The session was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Tourism Development Department and Ajman Executive Council member, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Ajman Executive Council member, Sheikh Dr. Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Court and Ajman Executive Council member, as well as other members of the Council and Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary-General of Ajman Executive Council.

Sheikh Ammar praised the initiative and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for declaring the year 2018 as the "Year of Zayed", terming it a national occasion for celebrating the UAE’s founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Ammar stressed that it was a great initiative that would honour the role of the founding leader in establishing the UAE, and laying the foundations for its advancement and accomplishments at the local, regional and international level.

The Fujairah Crown Prince said that the late Sheikh Zayed's life represented his principles of living, which continue to be the foundations on which the UAE has risen and the love and loyalty of his people. Therefore, the country must carry forward his legacy, his personality, principles and values, locally, regionally and internationally, as one of the greatest and most inspiring leaders, due to his patience, wisdom and vision.

The country must also strengthen his stature as a symbol of nationalism, which inspired optimism and spread love and tolerance among the people of the nation, both old and young, and the nation must also immortalise his heritage through projects and initiatives that comply with his vision and values, he added.

The Ajman Crown Prince expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the wise leadership for launching this generous initiative, which is an honour and a medal for every citizen and resident who closely knew Sheikh Zayed.

The Secretary-General of the Executive Council presented the Council’s agenda while stressing that the Ajman Government is always keen to discuss the topics that matter most to the community, as well as to provide new initiatives and modern programmes according to the best practices, and evaluate the performance of local government authorities.

The Council presented, reviewed and approved the minutes from the previous session, after adopting its prior recommendations. It also explained its referred legislations and policies.
