The Grand Imam of al-Azhar Al Sharif, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, affirmed that the U.A.E. is the country of magnanimity, which has shouldered its full responsibilities bravely towards the Arab issues.
The Grand Imam made these remarks upon his arrival at Dubai International Airport to receive the Islamic Personality Award of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) at its concluding ceremony, scheduled to be held next Friday at the Culture and Science Forum in Mamzar, Dubai.
Al Tayyeb expressed his happiness for receiving this year's award, extending thanks to the organising committee of the award and said, " This honour is an honour for everyone who belongs to al-Azhar Al Sharif." He also underscored that this honour opens up new cooperation horizons between al-Azhar and the DIHQA in the academic fields pertaining to the Holy Quran and the Islamic world, hailing the great achievements attained by the Award over the previous 18-years, which promoted its international status.
The Grand Imam of al-Azhar also praised the U.A.E.'s supportive stances for Egypt in the previous period and said,''U.A.E.'s backing to Egypt is normal."
