Kuwait's Deputy National Assembly Speaker Mubarak Al-Khurainej hoped that efforts by Lebanon's Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri results in a quick release of the abducted Kuwaiti citizen in Lebanon.
Prior to his departure Saturday, Al-Khurainej lauded, in a statement to KUNA, Speaker Berri's keenness in resolving the issue as soon as possible despite Lebanon's current difficult circumstances, expressing at the same time his gratitude to the Lebanese Government for its hospitality and generosity.
He also commended efforts exerted by Kuwait's Interior Ministry, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon Abdulaal Al-Qinaie, and the security office at the Kuwaiti Embassy.
Brothers of the abducted citizen accompanied Al-Khurainej. He was abducted late August in Baalbek.
